Toxic Childhood: When Did Chronic Illness in Kids Get So Norm

Normalizing Chronic Illness

When did chronic illness in children get so normalized?

Just 40 years ago, conditions like asthma, ADHD, autism, food sensitivities, eczema, and allergies were rare.

Nowadays, setting up a playdate involves a complete medical history, allergy list, and epi-pen instructions. 🤪

1 in 3 kids suffer from the issues listed above. Probably more. Maybe your child is struggling with one, too?

It's not that we're more aware of the issues now - the incidence of these illnesses has increased over time.

Not just increased. Skyrocketed. 😡

In this graph, you can see the rates of autism in 6 year olds overlaid with the increases in glyphosate applied to corn and soy. The graphs look nearly identical for other neurological issues like Parkinson’s disease, etc.

Glyphsate-and-Autism

In my last blog post, I discussed two of the reasons for increase in chronic illness:

  1. Our children are being exposed to more toxins than ever before.
  2. Natural methods for dealing with these illnesses have become less effective.

The truth is allopathic and natural health methods are lagging behind, especially in pediatrics.

Solutions that used to work are less effective. The family health picture has gotten so much more complex that practitioners may inadvertently make a child worse instead of better. We see this all the time!

Normalizing Chronic Illness (1)

Toxins are impacting our children and few people have a grasp of how serious this problem is - or what they might do about it.

There's tons of research on PubMed about the harmful effects of toxins. Yet it will take 30 - 40 years to solve these problems and for this "new" medical information to become mainstream.

Our kids can't wait that long.

If you’re curious if toxins are the missing piece of your child's health picture, get on the waitlist for our Pediatric Toxicity Quiz that's coming soon.

It wasn't until my own family health crisis that I dug in and realized no one is going to do this work for us. We have to become experts on our children's health. And the starting point is awareness of how toxic burden impacts children.

Before you lose hope or start stressing I want you to know it's all fixable

When toxins are correctly addressed, the body's natural healing mechanisms are unblocked and symptom reversal is possible -- even if everything else you've tried brought temporary relief or failed. Families can finally get free of the vicious cycle of chronic illness.

This approach to healing is nothing short of life-changing. My family has gone through this process, and we've all experienced how it changed everything.

With a deeper understanding of how to heal in a toxic world, I knew I'd never practice the same way again.

That’s why I'm ecstatic to announce that I’m working with clients again and will be offering group programs for families.

I've joined the cutting-edge practice at DETOX REJUVENATION™

As their Pediatric and Family Health Specialist, I team up with luminaries Sinclair Kennally and Michael Spandel to help parents address the toxins at the root of pediatric chronic illness and teach practitioners how to do the same.

Check it Out

Here are some of the reasons parents come to us for help: ADHD, allergies, autism, food sensitivities, rashes, digestive problems, and anxiety. Many of our parents found us after making little progress in working with other practitioners.

I'll be sharing more about one of our group programs next week, but if you're really curious or you're stuck on your child's next steps, you can check out our one-on-one program here: https://detox-rejuvenation.simplero.com/pediatrics

I just want to reiterate that there is hope! These problems are fixable.

Solutions are forthcoming (and you don't have to wait 30 years to get them) so stay tuned.
