I never imagined that I’d become a pediatric acupuncture specialist.
When I earned my master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), my holistic training focused on treating adults with acupuncture and herbs.
My journey to this specialty started simply from a desire to help my infant son heal from a severe case of eczema that wasn’t responding to Western medical treatments. Only after I began treating him with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary changes did his eczema begin to resolve.
As I shared my son’s story with my patients, they’d tell me that their children suffered from conditions that I knew could be treated with holistic care and acupuncture. Inspired by my child’s recovery, my patients began to bring their kids in for treatment, too. And as word spread about how I had helped these kids with conditions such as colic, constipation, cough, and ear infections, I began seeing even more children in my office—and this is how my family practice was born.
The lives of thousands of kids around the world have been dramatically impacted through my own practice as well as the acupuncturists whom I trained to work with kids.
But I never would have arrived at this place of helping kids heal naturally if my son’s poor health hadn’t served as a wakeup call.
You’re probably visiting my website because you’ve had a wakeup call, too. And, like me, you’re not content just waiting to see if your child’s condition will get better on its own. You want to do something now.
I totally get it! I’ve been there and I know what you’re going through.
Taking a natural approach to healing takes time, effort and often involves changing your family’s diet and/or lifestyle. But, the rewards are well worth it because when we restore balance from the inside out, we help our children become stronger in the long run.
