Today I want to welcome one of my new contributing writers Candance Holmes; she’s a mom that works from home that loves to write about holistic health and real food, stay tuned as she will be starting her own blog in the near future. Her inspiration for writing about holistic health grew from her journey and her need to find natural ways to deal with her and her daughter’s food allergies/sensitivities and other health conditions. She has been on this journey for several years now and has experience great improvements in her and her daughter’s health with going gluten and starting to go grain free while introducing other real food items and holistic health into their daily lives.
Here she is with her first post for KLA:
It’s back to school time and no matter the situation, it’s always a big transition. The biggest adjustment comes for those kiddos who are starting school for the first time or the ones who have to start at a new school because of moving. Then your kids who are moving up a grade will have a bigger academic demand, a new teacher and possibly a change in their social circle.
So with all this going on, let’s make their year full of fun and have some delicious lunches that will make your kid(s) the envy of all his/her friends!
See these yummy kid friendly ideas for what to make and pack in their lunches for their Back To School Lunch:

Take a look at these really great ideas on fun ways to pack your kids lunch:
- If your looking to use a traditional lunch box, you can make it more fun by putting smaller containers and organizers that fit inside to give each food item it’s only little place:
- Or instead of doing a traditional Lunch box you can go with a bento style lunch box that comes with the special compartments already built in:
- Silicone cupcake liners make it fun and are great for holding and separating foods. The best part is they come in all types of colors and shapes!
- Then to top if all off you can use fun shaped cutters for fruits and veggies or fun animal food picks!
Don’t stress out if you have a busy schedule and need some help planning lunches, check out Momables, they have a great service that plans out the lunches and all you have to do is pack them!
